This anniversary serves as both a celebration of Moroccan youth—the true engine of the nation—and a moment to assess the achievements of initiatives undertaken in their favor, while reflecting on future measures to further enhance their contribution to the Kingdom’s political, economic, and social development.
Coinciding with the 62nd birthday of His Majesty the King, may God protect Him, this national occasion highlights the tireless efforts of the Sovereign to advance, empower, and develop the country’s young people.
From the outset of His reign, His Majesty has recognized that youth cannot fully assume their responsibilities or fulfill their potential without access to the necessary opportunities and qualifications. Accordingly, the King has consistently launched initiatives and programs aimed at ensuring dignified living conditions, particularly in the fields of education, employment, and health. These efforts instill hope and confidence in a brighter future, enabling youth to actively contribute to the construction of a resilient Morocco.
His Majesty has devoted particular attention to education and training by creating opportunities that allow young people to acquire skills tailored to the evolving needs of the labor market. This investment in knowledge and capacity-building not only facilitates professional integration and social mobility but also protects youth from ignorance, poverty, marginalization, and the risks of extremism.
In this spirit, numerous facilities have been established, including youth training and rehabilitation centers, socio-educational and sports complexes, support spaces for youth facing addiction, and digital technology hubs. Alongside these, income-generating initiatives and financing mechanisms for youth-led projects embody a proximity-based approach and reflect His Majesty’s vision of inclusive, sustainable human development.
This royal concern was further reaffirmed when His Majesty, in His capacity as President of the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, gave His High Instructions to place 13 centers established by the Foundation—covering health, disability, and training—at the disposal of their beneficiaries.
Among these projects is the socio-educational center in Izmouren, Al Hoceima Province, the first of its kind in the community, designed to provide support in education and vocational orientation. In parallel, six vocational training centers have been developed in promising sectors that meet labor market needs, including metal welding in Tit Mellil, agriculture in Souk Larbaa, electronics and electricity in Sidi Othmane (Casablanca), tertiary trades in Ouzez (Casablanca), as well as tourism and traditional crafts in Chefchaouen.
These institutions aim to equip youth from disadvantaged backgrounds with modern skills and tangible opportunities in sectors with high employment potential, opening pathways for both personal advancement and national development.
Ultimately, educating and empowering a responsible and skilled youth—Morocco’s greatest wealth—remains the most effective means to strengthen the Kingdom’s resilience, meet future challenges, and consolidate its role as a key and influential actor in regional and international arenas.
