Another feature of the Moroccan school system is incitement (not obligation) of the schooling of children from the age of 3. Accordingly, parents can choose between public daycare centers run by public institutions such as National Mutual or non-governmental organizations, or private nursery schools.

At nursery school, the child discovers gradually community life outside the family. He learns oral language and strengthens his activities by various groups to enable him better understand space and time. These activities also allow him to develop his capacity and sensory skills.

The child then gets ready to integrate primary education from the age of 6 years under the best conditions.

The region of the Sahara, like other regions of the kingdom, has several institutions of learning for children under 6 years of age. The following tables show the number of institutions and personnel.
