All the countries of the European Union (EU) are called, more than ever, to support the Moroccan autonomy initiative to resolve the dispute over the Moroccan Sahara and guarantee the stability of the Maghreb region, affirmed, in Madrid, MEPs and international experts.

Khalihenna Ould Errachid, Chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, held talks today, Monday June 26, with a delegation from the Chilean Senate led by the Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, Mr Francisco Chahuán. The delegation is on a working visit to the Kingdom from June 21 to 27.

The Union of the Comoros reaffirmed, before the members of the UN Committee of 24 (C-24), its support for the autonomy plan presented by Morocco with the view of achieving a peaceful, lasting and mutually acceptable solution to the regional dispute over the Sahara.

The Dominican Republic reiterated, in New York, its support for Morocco's efforts to reach a credible and acceptable political solution to the regional dispute over the Sahara, stressing that the Autonomy initiative is the basis for this settlement.
