The Republic of Senegal has welcomed the historic adoption on October 31, 2025 by United Nations Security Council of Resolution 2797 which enshrines, within the framework of Moroccan sovereignty, the preeminence of the autonomy plan proposed by the Kingdom as the only basis for serious, credible and sustainable to reaching a political solution to the artificial conflict on the Sahara.

The United Kingdom reaffirmed before the United Nations Security Council its support for the Moroccan Autonomy Initiative as "the most credible, viable and pragmatic basis" for achieving a final solution to the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.

The High Commission for Former Resistance Fighters and Members of the Liberation Army affirmed that commemorating the 50th anniversary of the triumphant Green March, at a time when Morocco is entering a new phase in consolidating its sovereignty over the Sahara based on the Autonomy Initiative, brings to mind the chapters of a peaceful and popular national movement that ensured the recovery of the Moroccan Sahara and strengthened the attachment of its inhabitants to their Moroccan identity. This attachment reflects the enduring allegiance linking the people of the Sahara to the Kings of Morocco throughout history.

France reiterated before the UN Security Council that "the present and the future of the Sahara lie within the framework of Moroccan sovereignty", affirming that Paris' support to the autonomy Initiative proposed by Morocco in 2007 is "clear and steadfast".
