The second Policy Conference of the Autonomy for the Sahara Coalition (AUSACO) will take place on April 29 and 30 in Dakhla, under the theme: "The New Reality of the Moroccan Sahara: A Pathway for a Revisited UN Approach in an Ever-Changing Geopolitical context."

The international momentum, driven over the years by HM King Mohammed VI in favor of the Moroccan sovereignty over the Sahara and in support of the Moroccan Autonomy Initiative, continues to gain strength. This growing support reflects a broad international consensus to resolve this regional dispute within the framework of Morocco’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Spain reaffirmed, on Thursday, that the autonomy initiative is “the most serious, realistic and credible basis for the resolution” of the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.

Hungary reaffirmed, through its Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó, on Wednesday its support for the autonomy plan presented by Morocco in 2007, considering that it "must be the basis for the solution" of the Moroccan Sahara issue within the framework of the United Nations.
