Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, said on Tuesday that the Moroccan Sahara issue had reached an historic turning point driven by the momentum generated by HM King Mohammed VI.

Chile "supports the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Morocco over its entire territory, including the Sahara region," and "considers the autonomy proposal put forward by Morocco in 2007 to be the just, lasting, and mutually acceptable political solution."

Following the dissemination by certain media outlets in the pay of the separatist front of misleading information regarding the audience granted by Ghanaian Foreign Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, to the individual they described as “the ambassador of the fictitious sadr to Ghana,” the Ghanaian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a clarification via its official Facebook and X (former Twitter) accounts, confirming that the State of Ghana’s decision to withdraw its recognition of the so-called “sadr,” dated January 6, 2025, remains in effect and has not been reversed.

The Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs (CORCAS), represented by Moulay Ahmed Mghizlate and Saadani Maoulainine, is participating—as part of the Kingdom of Morocco’s official delegation—in the 63rd session of the UN Human Rights Council (HRC). The session began on Monday, September 7, and runs until October 9, 2026, at the Palais des Nations in Geneva.

The Republic of Liberia reiterated on Thursday in Rabat its unwavering position in favor of the territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Morocco and its sovereignty over its entire territory, including the Sahara region.
