The United Nations General Assembly has just adopted a resolution reiterating its support for the political process conducted under the exclusive auspices of the United Nations for the resolution of the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara, within the framework of the Security Council resolutions since 2007. It is the same resolution adopted by the 4th Committee last month.

The countries close to the region, which have a very good knowledge of the Moroccan Sahara issue, are called to contribute to a solution perspective, said Friday in Rabat, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, during a joint press briefing with the French Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs, Catherine Colonna.

Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch represents His Majesty King Mohammed VI at the US-Africa Leaders' Summit, which is being held from 13 to 15 December in the American federal capital, Washington D.C.

Canada's future strategy for Africa should make an important place for the autonomy plan proposed by Morocco to put an end to the regional dispute over the Sahara, underlined the Canadian expert, Jean Louis Roy.

The Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council for the Arab States (GCC) reiterated, Friday, its firm positions and decisions in favor of the Moroccan Sahara and the preservation of the security and stability of the Kingdom of Morocco, as well as its territorial integrity.
