The autonomy plan presented by Morocco in 2007 to settle the artificial dispute over the Moroccan Sahara enjoys growing support at European and international levels, Portuguese expert and political scientist Raul Braga Pires said on Tuesday.

The Republic of Angola supports a political solution based on compromise to the Sahara dispute.

The Republic of Guinea reaffirmed, on Monday in Dakhla, its "firm and constant" support for the territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Morocco and its backing for the autonomy plan initiative presented by the Kingdom, as the "only credible and realistic solution" for resolving the dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.

The presidents of the Foreign Affairs Committees of African parliaments reiterated, on Friday in Rabat, their respect for the sovereignty of African countries and their territorial integrity, and this, at the end of the African parliamentary colloquium on “African parliamentary cooperation in the face of nagging challenges”.

Morocco defends founding principles of the Non-Aligned Movement and calls for them to be respected without selectivity, in particular respect for the territorial integrity of States.

Morocco's Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Omar Hilale refuted the Algerian Foreign Minister's contradictions before the Non-Aligned Movement in Baku on Thursday, pointing out that Algeria is instrumentalizing the Movement's principles to promote them in international forums at a time when it has persisted in violating them for decades.
