HM King Mohammed VI delivered, on Saturday, a speech to the Nation on the occasion of the 46th anniversary of the Green March.

The Green March, a historic event that will remain forever engraved in the memory of all Moroccans, was masterfully initiated by the late HM Hassan II in 1975. Celebrated every year on November 6, this great march of a peaceful nature led to the decolonization of the southern provinces and built a bright future marked by a tremendous economic and social change for the Sahrawi population, which continues today under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI.

The Moroccan autonomy initiative is the "compromise solution par excellence" to the regional dispute over the Sahara, said, in New York, Permanent Representative of Gabon to the UN, ambassador Michel Biang.
