Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, praised the role played by Morocco, under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, in the efforts to find a solution to the Libyan crisis, which led to the formation of a national unity government.

Morocco's Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York, ambassador Omar Hilale, was elected Monday by acclamation as Chairman of the First Committee of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly.

The Seychelles Minister of Foreign Affairs and Tourism, Louis Sylvestre Radegonde reiterated, Friday, his country's support for the Moroccan national cause and for the autonomy initiative proposed by the Kingdom.

Guatemala reiterated, on Thursday, its "firm and unwavering support" for the Autonomy Initiative presented by Morocco as the only solution to the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara, in accordance with United Nations resolutions, within the framework of the territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Morocco and its sovereignty over its southern provinces.

The exclusivity of the UN-led process aiming at achieving a political solution to the Moroccan Sahara issue cannot and should not be undermined by any action or initiative that would impede its expression, said on Wednesday Morocco's ambassador to South Africa, Youssef Amrani.
