Peruvian MP Martha Chavez Cossio affirmed that her country is called upon to support Morocco in the artificial conflict over the Moroccan Sahara, noting that the Kingdom is an ally of Peru in a "complex region".

The U.S. decision to recognize the sovereignty of Morocco over the Sahara obliges the other parties to resume negotiations to reach a solution within the framework of the sovereignty of Morocco, underlines, Monday, Spanish daily newspaper "ABC".

The U.S. recognition of the Moroccanness of the Sahara makes it possible to move forward towards a "lasting" settlement of the Sahara issue, said Thursday French MP and former Speaker of the French National Assembly, François De Rugy.

Morocco's intervention to reopen the El Guergarat crossing was necessary after the exhaustion of diplomatic efforts, director of the Spanish magazine specializing in Maghreb affairs "ATALYAR", Javier Fernandez Arribas, said on Wednesday.
