Some 1,028 NGOs from the Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra and Dakhla-Oued Eddahab regions sent a letter to the President of the UN Security Council, Ambassador Abdou Abarry, in which they refer to the heavy toll of Polisario and Algeria in terms of human rights violations, while stressing the "normal character" of the human rights situation in the southern provinces of the Kingdom.

The President of Burkina Faso, Mr. Roch Marc Christian Kaboré, underlined, that “the results which were achieved following the holding of the two round tables in Geneva, between Algeria, Morocco, Mauritania and Polisario, deserve to be consolidated ”in order to reach a consensual political solution to the Moroccan Sahara.

The creation of puppet entities is part of the desperate attempts of the "Polisario" and its Algerian sponsor, to mislead the international public opinion about the ins and outs of the Sahara issue, President of the Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra region Sidi Hamdi Ould Errachid said on Tuesday.

Spanish Prime Minister, Pedro Sanchez, on Friday reiterated before the UN General Assembly Spain's call for a political solution based on compromise to the Moroccan Sahara issue in accordance with the relevant resolutions of the United Nations Security Council.

Morocco reaffirmed its commitment to a final solution to the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara, within the framework of territorial integrity and national sovereignty, on the occasion of the high-level segment of the 75th United Nations General Assembly.
