The Republic of Azerbaijan on Friday expressed its support to Morocco's efforts to restore the free circulation of goods and people in the crossing border post of El Guerguarat.

"Morocco has reaffirmed its attachment to the ceasefire and to the political process, while reserving the right to react with the greatest severity and in self-defence against any threat to its security," said Bourita in an interview published Monday by the European bimonthly "The Parliament Magazine".

The Government of the Republic of Togo expressed, on Friday, its support for "Morocco's right to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity" through the restoration of the free movement of persons and goods in the El Guerguarat crossing linking the Kingdom to Mauritania.

Cape Verde expressed its support to the Kingdom of Morocco in its "legitimate" decision to intervene peacefully to restore the movement of goods and people in the area of El Guerguarat, in the Moroccan Sahara.

Former Tunisian President Moncef Marzouki has underlined that the Algerian regime "is taking hostage" the populations held in Tindouf "for a fallacious political choice", deeming it wise to see them join their homeland, Morocco, instead of believing in erroneous perceptions.
