Members of the European Parliament (EP) have triggered the official referral mechanism of the EP regarding the diversion of humanitarian aid intended for the populations held against their will in Tindouf.

The United Nations Working Group on Arbitrary Detention (WGAD) has just made public its decision on the complaint by opponent of the polisario leadership El Fadel Breica, against the Algerian state, for kidnapping, torture, captivity and illegal detention for more than four months, on the Algerian territory by the Polisario militias and the Algerian security services, due to his activism for the defense of human rights of the populations in the Tindouf camps, more particularly his participation in a sit-in in front of the Algerian embassy in Madrid to demand shedding light on the fate of his cousin El Khalil Ahmed Braih, missing since his abduction in January 2009, in Algiers by the Algerian intelligence services.

The presidents of the Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra and Dakhla-Oued Eddahab regions, Sidi Hamdi Oued Errachid and Yenja El Khattat, denounced the propaganda by Algeria and the "Polisario" to try to deprive the populations of the two regions of the benefits of development, stressing that Algeria must be questioned about its policy of diversion and disinformation aiming to divert attention from the tragedy of the people in captivity in Tindouf.

A group made up of several countries reiterated on Tuesday, before the UN Human Rights Council (HRC) in Geneva, its unequivocal support for the territorial integrity of Morocco and for the serious efforts made by the Kingdom for the settlement of the artificial conflict over the Moroccan Sahara.
