The improvement of relations between Algeria and Morocco will help the two countries tackle common bilateral and regional issues such as terrorism, illegal immigration, drug trafficking and economic integration, the US department of state said on Thursday.

The President of Burkina Faso, Roch Marc Christian Kaboré "strongly appreciated" the hand extended to Algeria by His Majesty King Mohammed V to appease relations between the two countries and eliminate discussions that delay the advancement of Africa.

The European Union (EU) lauded, Friday, the initiative of HM King Mohammed VI, on the occasion of the 43rd anniversary of the Green March, to open a "frank and direct dialogue" with Algeria

The Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Abou El-Gheit, welcomed the speech by HM King Mohammed VI on the occasion of the Green March, in which the Sovereign calls for the creation of a mechanism of direct dialogue between Morocco and Algeria to transcend the disputes between the two brotherly Arab countries and examine bilateral relations.
