The European Parliament's Committee on Fisheries adopted Wednesday, by a large majority, the Morocco-European Union fisheries agreement.

The recent adoption by the European Parliament of the agriculture agreement between Morocco and the European Union (EU) demonstrates the willingness of the two sides to build strong and stable relations, Spanish minister of agriculture, fisheries and food, Luis Planas, said Saturday in Berlin.

HM King Mohammed VI received today, at Rabat Royal Palace, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice-president of the European Commission Federica Mogherini, who is on a working visit as part of reinforcing the strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Morocco and the European Union.

Morocco and the European Union (EU) signed, on Monday in Brussels, the fisheries agreement that sets out the conditions of access for the European fleet and lays down the requirements for sustainable fishing.
