The Central African Republic (CAR) lambasted on Friday before the 4th Committee of the UN General Assembly the maneuvers of the "other parties" to hinder the final settlement of the Sahara issue.

High participation in elections reflects the attachment of Sahrawis to Morocco

The participation rate in the elections, which reached 76 pc in the southern provinces in free and transparent elections, as attested by the international community, reflects Saharawi people's attachment to Morocco, said parliamentarian and member of the Royal Advisory Council  of Saharan Affairs (CORCAS), Ahmed Lakhrif.

Papua New Guinea stressed, before the 4th Commission of the UN General Assembly, that the autonomy plan, presented by Morocco in 2007, constitutes an "initiative in the right direction"  to solve the conflict of the Moroccan Sahara.
