The dispute over the Sahara issue undermines the regional economic integration and its persistence threatens security and stability in sub-Saharan Africa, Zhang Ming, Director General of African Department at the Chinese Foreign Ministry, said on Friday in Rabat

Interior Minister, Chakib Benmoussa said separatists' instrumentalization of human rights in Sahara is a mere reaction to the international community's endorsement of Morocco's initiative to grant a substantial autonomy to its southern provinces, the Sahara.

The international human rights watchdog, Human Rights Watch (HRW), voiced concern over the situation in the Tindouf camps (south-western Algeria), an area that organization described as "isolated".

The Sahara is an "integral part" of Morocco and Guinea will always side with Morocco, according to the Guinean President, Captain Moussa Dadis Camara. Who said in a recent press conference taken place in Conakry, during the Oscar award of the African managers:   "The Sahara is indeed an integral part of Morocco"

Autonomy proposal under Moroccan sovereignty is in line with international standards, notably those implemented in Western democracies, Director of "North-South" Magazine, Ali Bahaijoub, said at a meeting on the Sahara issue, held in Oxford.
