Panama on Tuesday voiced its "support for the Autonomy Initiative" presented by Morocco in 2007, as "the only basis for a just and lasting solution" to the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara, committing to “define its future action and take position on the basis of this declaration”.

A member of the British House of Lords, Daniel Hannan, called on Saturday for the recognition of Morocco's "full sovereignty" over its Sahara and the strengthening of trade relations between the two kingdoms.

The third session of the joint cooperation commission between Morocco and The Gambia took place on Thursday in Dakhla, co-chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, and his Gambian counterpart, Mamadou Tangara.

The Republic of The Gambia reiterated, on Thursday in Dakhla, its "unwavering" support for the territorial integrity of the Kingdom and its endorsement of the Autonomy Initiative as the only "credible and realistic" solution for resolving the dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.

Prominent Moroccan and foreign academics and geopoliticians confirmed on Tuesday in Kenitra, that the artificial dispute over the Moroccan Sahara is considered a remnant of colonialism.
