The geopolitical horizon of the Moroccan Sahara issue was the focus of the first political seminar of the Coalition for Autonomy in the Sahara, organized Thursday in Dakhla, in the presence of prominent national and international figures.

A delegation of African diplomats visited the city of Dakhla on Wednesday to explore the potential of the Dakhla-Oued-Dahab region and the development momentum it is experiencing at all levels.

In an address on Tuesday in Addis Ababa, Morocco urged the Peace and Security Council (PSC) of the African Union (AU) to take decisive action against the impunity of those responsible for recruiting and criminally exploiting child soldiers, alongside other severe violations. Chaired by the Permanent Representative Ambassador of the Kingdom to the AU and the ECA-UN, Mohamed Arrouchi, the second PSC meeting via video conference focused on combatting the use of child soldiers.

French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Stéphane Séjourné reiterated, on Monday in Rabat, his country's "clear and constant" support for the Moroccan autonomy plan in the Southern provinces, emphasizing that it is time for France to move forward on this issue.

Spanish Government President Pedro Sánchez reiterated, on Wednesday in Rabat, his country's position supporting the autonomy plan presented by Morocco in 2007, to resolve the artificial dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.
