The third session of the joint cooperation commission between Morocco and The Gambia took place on Thursday in Dakhla, co-chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, and his Gambian counterpart, Mamadou Tangara.

The Republic of The Gambia reiterated, on Thursday in Dakhla, its "unwavering" support for the territorial integrity of the Kingdom and its endorsement of the Autonomy Initiative as the only "credible and realistic" solution for resolving the dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.

Prominent Moroccan and foreign academics and geopoliticians confirmed on Tuesday in Kenitra, that the artificial dispute over the Moroccan Sahara is considered a remnant of colonialism.

The 19th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) reaffirmed, at the end of its proceedings Saturday in Kampala, its support for the UN political process concerning the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara, with a view to reaching a "mutually acceptable political solution."
