|Government Reviews International Agreement on Establishment of Permanent Headquarters for the African Institute for Development in Dakhla

The Council of Government reviewed on Thursday an international agreement on the establishment of a permanent headquarters for the African Development Institute (ADI) in Dakhla, between the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco and the African Development Institute (ADI), presented by Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita.

This agreement on the creation of a permanent headquarters for the African Institute for Development in Dakhla, between the government of the Kingdom of Morocco and the African Institute for Development, signed in Rabat on January 16, 2023, and draft law No. 19.23 approving the said agreement, said Minister in charge of relations with Parliament, official spokesperson of the government, Mustapha Baytas, during a press meeting following the Council's meeting.
This agreement follows the decision of the Administrative Council of the Institute, which enables the latter to change its permanent headquarters from the Swiss territory (Geneva) to an African country.

Under this agreement, which defines the general conditions and issues related to the establishment and management of the permanent headquarters in Morocco, the Institute will contribute to the economic, social and cultural development of African countries in general, through scientific research, advisory support and the training of African professionals capable of taking charge of the work to be done with the population, at various levels, in order to promote their development and improve their living conditions.
