The United Nations General Assembly has adopted a resolution reaffirming its support for the political process conducted under the exclusive auspices of the UN Security Council for the settlement of the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility of the Republic of Ecuador, Gabriela Sommerfeld, reiterated, on Monday, her country’s decision to suspend its recognition of the so-called "sadr" and emphasized the importance of the Autonomy Initiative for the Sahara region, proposed by the Kingdom of Morocco in 2007.

The Supreme Council of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) reiterated, on Sunday, its constant positions and resolutions in support of Morocco’s sovereignty over the Sahara and in ensuring the security and stability of the Kingdom of Morocco, and preserving its territorial integrity.

Grenada reaffirmed its "backing for Morocco’s territorial integrity and sovereignty over its entire territory, including the Sahara region" and "reiterated its support for the Moroccan autonomy plan as the only credible, serious and realistic solution" for the definitive solution to the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.

Prime Minister of Saint Lucia Philip Joseph Pierre reiterated on Thursday in Rabat his country's full support for Morocco's sovereignty over its Sahara and expressed great appreciation for the Vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI for a united and active South-South cooperation.
