Resolution 1813, adopted recently by the UN Security Council on the Sahara issue, "is largely in favour" of Morocco, said Wednesday the president of the National Assembly (First Parliament House) of Gabon, Mr. Guy Nzouba Ndama. 


The President of the Canary Islands government, Mr. Paulino Rivero (Canary Coalition), met Wednesday afternoon at the headquarters of the Presidency in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, with members of the delegation from the Moroccan southern provinces, currently visiting the Spanish archipelago.


All Sahrawi Moroccans detained in the Tindouf camps aspire to the liberation day when they can return to the Motherland, said Ahmed Ould Mohamed Ould Mbarek Hsina, a Moroccan Sahrawi who joined the Kingdom last Sunday.


Moroccan Initiative for Negotiating an Autonomy Statute for the Sahara is characterized by its boldness, its comprehensiveness and its modernity, said the participants at an international symposium on "the statute of regional autonomy in Comparative Law" held Friday in Barcelona. 


Security Council Resolution of 1813 is the "best resolution" adopted so far by the United Nation to solve the Sahara issue, Gabonese President, El Hadj Omar Bongo Ondimba said on Wednesday.
