The members of both Houses of Parliament affirmed, on Monday, that United Nations Security Council Resolution 2797 on the Moroccan Sahara issue enshrines the sustained diplomatic efforts carried out under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, in defense of Morocco's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

UN Security Council Resolution 2797, which consolidates the autonomy plan as the only basis for resolving the dispute over the Moroccan Sahara, represents a historic turning point for the Kingdom, according to the President of the Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra Regional Council, Sidi Hamdi Ould Errachid.

UN Security Council Resolution 2797 on Moroccan Sahara is the result of HM King Mohammed VI's 26 years of sustained efforts along with His personal commitment to this issue, said Morocco's Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita.

His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, delivered, on Friday, a Speech to His faithful people.

Belgian legal expert Philippe Lenaert affirmed on Tuesday in Tangier that Morocco, thanks to the vision and diplomatic choices of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, has succeeded in consolidating the growing international support for its sovereignty over the Sahara.
