The strategic importance of the development process launched by HM King Mohammed VI in the Moroccan Sahara was highlighted Monday during a meeting of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.

Members of the European Parliament have underscored the soundness of the Morocco-proposed initiative to grant large autonomy to the Sahara under the Kingdom’s sovereignty, deeming this initiative as the ”best acceptable compromise” for settling the conflict.

The Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs participates alongside the official delegation of the Kingdom of Morocco, in the 32nd Session of the Human Rights Council held June 13 to July 1, 2016 at the Palais des Nations in Geneva.

Khaddad Moussaoui, Vice chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs (CORCAS), has participated in the seminar in the Pacific region, organized by the Fourth Nations Commission in Nicaragua, May 31 to June 02, 2016.

The chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, Khalihenna Ould Errachid, met on Wednesday, June 1st 2016, with Révérien Ndikuriyo, speaker of the Senate of Burundi, who is paying a working visit to the Kingdom.
