Morocco's Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Omar Hilale, sent a response letter to the President and members of the Security Council on Monday, debunking the Algerian ambassador's fallacious allegations regarding the Moroccan Sahara issue during a Council briefing.

The second Policy Conference of the Autonomy for the Sahara Coalition (AUSACO) will take place on April 29 and 30 in Dakhla, under the theme: "The New Reality of the Moroccan Sahara: A Pathway for a Revisited UN Approach in an Ever-Changing Geopolitical context."

The international momentum, driven over the years by HM King Mohammed VI in favor of the Moroccan sovereignty over the Sahara and in support of the Moroccan Autonomy Initiative, continues to gain strength. This growing support reflects a broad international consensus to resolve this regional dispute within the framework of Morocco’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The United States president Donald Trump's Senior Advisor for Africa, Massad Boulos, reaffirmed that the U.S. position on Morocco’s sovereignty over the Sahara is "clear and unequivocal."

Spain reaffirmed, on Thursday, that the autonomy initiative is “the most serious, realistic and credible basis for the resolution” of the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.
