Canada "affirms recognition" of Morocco’s autonomy plan as a "basis for a mutually acceptable solution" to the regional conflict over the Moroccan Sahara.

The government of the Canary Islands aligns with Spain’s official position, supporting Morocco’s autonomy plan as the most serious, realistic and credible basis for resolving the dispute over the Moroccan Sahara, Canary Islands President Fernando Clavijo said on Monday in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

Switzerland stated on Friday that it "considers the autonomy initiative" put forward by Morocco "as the most serious, credible, and pragmatic basis" for resolving the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.

The United Kingdom Foreign Secretary, Yvette Cooper, reaffirmed on Thursday her country's position regarding the Moroccan Sahara issue, renewing British support for the autonomy plan presented by Morocco as "the most credible, viable, and pragmatic basis for peace in the Sahara."
