Saadani Maouelainin, member of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs (Corcas), received a unanimous and wide-ranging tribute early May in Bolivia  for ongoing activism in the social and human rights field. 

Morocco's African deputies taking part in the second session of the fifth legislature of the Pan-African Parliament (PAP), which is being held in Midrand (near Johannesburg), made on Monday a call for conducting a headcount of the populations held captive in Tindouf (southwest Algeria).

The Democratic Republic of Sao Tome and Principe reiterated its consistent position of support for the Sahara and the territorial integrity of the Kingdom.

Morocco’s permanent representative to the UN, Omar Hilale, made before the regional meeting of the UN Committee of 24 held in Saint George’s, Grenada, May 2-4, a presentation that focused on the historical realities, the legal bases and the political dimensions of the Moroccanness of the Sahara.

The European Union (EU) welcomed, on Thursday, the renewal of MINURSO mandate through Security Council Resolution 2468, adopted April 30 , supporting the efforts of the UN to reach a solution just, sustainable and mutually acceptable solution to the Moroccan sahara, based on compromise.
